This includes, cotton irrigation, dying and pre-washing, which ends up being around 3,800 litres!* That’s obviously a lot of water that could go towards reducing droughts! We’re left with an environmental dilemma, as cotton is one of the few biodegradable materials we can use to make clothing. Therefore, one of the best and easiest ways you can do your bit for the environment is to buy secondhand! Not to mention it’s certainly a lot nicer on your wallet to get preloved designer jeans.
